Basketball Play - Las Vegas Aces - Circle Double Stack BLOB

Las Vegas Aces - Circle Double Stack BLOB

Aseem Rastogi 05/06/2019

The Aces use this BLOB to get an open layup or short jumper. Because Kayla McBride commands so much attention, the first option (Lindsay Allen or Kelsey Plum) is usually the one getting the majority of the looks. This is because the help defense is consumed with making sure McBride doesn't get a layup, and they often leave the 1 open under the basket. Basketball Play - Texas A&M (W) - Double Stack High-Low / Triangle & 2 Attack

Texas A&M (W) - Double Stack High-Low / Triangle & 2 Attack

Aseem Rastogi 03/30/2019

In their matchup with Notre Dame, Texas A&M had to deal with a Triangle and 2 on their two best scorers, Chennedy Carter and Kayla Wells. They were ready with another excellent quick hitter to get a potential post to post high low for a layup. Using Carter and wells to create space, they were able to use well-timed pin screens and the defense against themselves to find openings to score. See More

Basketball Play - Iowa Hawkeys - Double Stack Flex

Iowa Hawkeys - Double Stack Flex

Dustin Cooper 01/10/2019

A creative flex action used by Iowa head coach Fran McCaffrey. This play starts in a low double stack. This action is difficult to guard because x1 will tend to relax once he gets through the false back screen. As 1 comes off the back screen, he is immeditatley setting a flex screen for 2. This limits the time that x1 has to see the action develop. More: Shooting Drills that Enhance Your Flex Offense See More

Basketball Play - VCU Double Stack

VCU Double Stack

Andrew Greer 03/19/2015

VCU ran this BLOB set late in the 2nd half against Ohio State who was playing man defense. VCU got a wide open layup from their 5 that was missed. In the set 2/3 use a double screen from 4/5. The first man through (2) goes to the corners immediately followed by the second cut (3) who goes to the wing. As the final cut is made the 5 dives to the rim. This set is also seen in Billy Donovan's playbook. Shaka Smart was an assistant for Donovan before his time at VCU. See More
