Favorite Send to FastDrawThis play came out of a timeout from South Carolina and shifted the momentum of the game. The key in this set is the ball reversals that make the defense ignore the weak side short corner. One of the most important concepts of attacking a zone defense is ball movement and attacking the gaps, but I’m a firm believer that screening a zone is even more dangerous. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawDuke opened up the second half with this quick hitter to get Grayson Allen an open three-pointer. They were ready for Louisville’s 3-2 zone and simply had Marshall Plumlee set a screen. This is a great way to knock a team’s confidence in their defense early on to make the opposing coach question what they are doing. See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawUsing shallow cuts to distort the zone is a great zone offense tip! This two-ball shooting drill teaches players to shallow cut through gaps in the zone when dribbled at. For more on a complete offensive system versus 2-3 zone, check out "Attacking The 2-3 Zone" See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawScott Drew has Baylor in the hunt for a NCAA Tournament bid and possible high seed. This years Baylor Bears are currently 19-7 overall and 8-5 in Conference. This play is from their win against Iowa State. It was run after a FT situation for the Cyclones who dropped back in a 2-3 Zone. The backline of the Zone set-up rather high as Baylor did a good job with spacing coming out of Transition. Wainright cuts through the zone off the Fast Break and immediately screens the outside defender (Burton) of the Zone as Motley moves to screen the middle defender (Niang) as Prince makes his way from the ring towards the ring and throws down the jam off the pass from Medford. An exciting end of season play to spice up your Zone Playbook!! See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawTexas ran this play against Baylor and got an open look on the lob just didn't connect. 1 dribbles to the right and 2 replaces 1 at the top of the key. 1 passes to 2. Once 2 has it, 4 flashes high bringing x3 up. 3 sneaks behind the zone for a lob pass. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawHere is a Zone Lob play from Baylor when they played Georgia in the SEC/Big 12 challenge. Georgia played some 2-3 zone in the game, and Baylor used this early lob option to get a pass over the top forcing a foul on the Bulldogs. The play starts with 1 passing to 2 and 2 passing back to 1. 3 then acts as if he is running the baseline, but 4 and 5 both screen the bottom zone defenders and 1 looks to make the lob pass to 3 over the top of the zone.
