I drew up several zipper actions from the Pacers last week and this ending is great to get your big posted up on the block with limited help. If the defense decides to double on the catch or earlier, you have 2 coming off a a pin-down or 4 slipping to the rim as options. See More

Memphis ran this play at the 5:21 mark of their game three loss to the Spurs. This layup by Randolph put Memphis up by 11. The Spurs made two consecuctive defensive errors on this play. First, Randolph was doubled in the post leaving Gasol wide open at the free throw line. After Pondexter ball faked to the free throw line both Spurs guarding Randolph ran to the free throw line. Z-Bo was left unguarded on the block for the layup. Regardless of the Spurs defensive lapses, this is a good set involving screening to get the ball into the post. See More

The Pacers ran this great action just before halftime in Game 5 of the 2013 ECF versus the Miami Heat. Unfortunately, David West missed the lay-up. The play worked so well because West's defender (Bosh) lost track of him cutting baseline and the screener's defender (Anderson) did not open up to help, allowing West to seal him under the basket. This is a good play for isolating your best post scorer in the low post area. 3 catches from 1 and 1 clears to weak side. On the catch, 4 rubs off 5's screen and cut to high post.
