Favorite Send to FastDrawOlympiacos Pireus' (Euroleague) new coach David Blatt ran this play during a pre season game vs Hapoel Jerusaler from Israel. The concept is to get a quick open 3pt shot, since defenders are trying to communicate and disrupt a quick pick and roll action in transition. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawXoach Xavi Pascual of Panathinaikos Athens (Euroleague) runs several misdirection/trick plays when his team needs to score. In this case, a misdirection step up pick and roll is set at the wing, while a flare screen is set on the other side for a 3pt shot. Video footage is from a pre-eason game vs. Romanian club Cluj. Favorite Send to FastDrawThis ATO from Boston's Brad Stevens can get you a lob at the rim or a 3, depending on how the defense plays the screen-the-screener action. Blog post by Tony Miller: Why You NEED FastDraw iPad This Season! See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe consecutive actions of a back screen and a down screen will result in x1 getting lost for a brief moment (helping on 3), creating enough space for an open look from deep. Click here for more Golden State Warriors sets! See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawCroatia ran this Horns (call is "4") set against Lithuania in the first window of the second round of the FIBA European Qualifiers. Set starts off with a little misdirection with 5 screening for 4. Then 4 and 5 then set a stagger for 3. They then set another stagger along the baseline for 2 who comes off the screen looking for a shot. If 2 isn't open, 4 flashes to the elbow for a pass. After the elbow entry, they run a 3 man action looking to create a single tag off the pindown into DHO. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawA simple yet effective play that coach Giannis Sfairopoulos of Olympiacos run during the 2017-18 Euroleague season. The misdirection stagger screen and the screen-the-screener action force defenders to commit, so the flare screen set by the center at the end of the play is difficult to disrupt without switching a big onto the opponent's point guard. Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is another counter to the double stagger action. The back cut by the 3, makes it look like a set up for a double stagger. As the 1 arrives, the 4 flips to screen-the-screener. The 1, who is usually Toliver, pops for an open 3. The 4 slips to the rim. On the FMS Blog: WNBA Finals - Top Plays Breakdown See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawDuring the Euroleague Women's Final Four, Yakin Dogu Universitesi ran this play to get Kayla McBride a three-pointer after a timeout. McBride, who averaged nearly 19 points per game while taking five three-point attempts per game at a near 40% clip, was able to convert on this elevator action. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Chicago Sky utilize this set to free up their perimeter shooters on the weak side of the floor. Pokey Chatman uses this formation for different actions, making this elevator play a good change of pace to keep all defenders on the floor honest. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is a counter from the base action I diagramed entitled, "Toledo Rockets - Horns Floppy." This is a very simple yet effective counter you can run with this set. The video below is not of this set itselft, but the base horns floppy action. 5 will attempt to bury defender as 2 comes off screen. While this is happening, 1 and 4 set a double stagger screen away for 3 in the corner. This is a great time for several things: 1) 5 in a post isolation situation while help side is working through the stagger. 2) Obviously a 3pt opportunity for 3 if you have a 5 that garners a lot of attention. 3) While the stagger is occuring, if 5 were to sprint into a side ball screen for 2, that would leave 2 a wide open driving line off of a reject of 5's screen. Favorite Send to FastDrawCheryl Reeve runs this play with the Minnesota Lynx to punish inattentive perimeter players on the weak side of the floor. By precisely spacing players along the perimeter, several open shots are presented through the duration of a possession when this play is run. See More
