Basketball Play - Gonzaga Bulldogs - Floppy Circle Hit

Gonzaga Bulldogs - Floppy Circle Hit

Dave Nedbalek 11/27/2018

This is an incredibly hard set to guard. Great action leading to an empty middle ball screen and if 1's defender is tagging the pick and roll like he should be, 1 will either be open on the throwback or 5 will be wide open at the rim. See the video below. Highly recommend watching Coach Few's teams play with scratch paper handy or FastDraw open! FMS Blog: Maui Invitational - Top 10 Plays See More

Basketball Play - Gonzaga Bulldogs - "Miami" X

Gonzaga Bulldogs - "Miami" X

Dave Nedbalek 11/27/2018

This is one of my all time favorite sets! There are several looks that Gonzaga bypasses in favor of the post up. This set when run fully has a guard mismatch post up opportunity, lob look, stretch post 3, double pin downs for shooters, seal post ups for those screeners, and then ball screen with throwback action. See these options in the video below. I highly recommend adding this set to your playbook. Check out my PlayBank library for a more thorough breakdown of this set run by Jim Larranaga at Miami University. FMS Blog: Maui Invitational - Top 10 Plays See More

Basketball Play - Memphis Grizzlies - Shuffle Flare Rip DHO

Memphis Grizzlies - Shuffle Flare Rip DHO

Ryan Nguyen 11/13/2018

This is one of the options that the Memphis Grizzlies run out of their "Shuffle" series. The play starts with the PG making the hit-ahead pass then cuts through to the opposite side of the floor. 5 then flashes to the strong side elbow to set a shuffle screen after the pass to the corner. If the initial cut off the shuffle screen isn't available for a score, 4 sets a flare for 2 on the weak side then 3 sets a rip screen for 4 (STS action). Immediately after the rip screen, 3 sprints into a DHO with 5 and stops behind for a shot if defense goes under. On the FMS Blog: Gap Creating Cuts to Enhance Your Offense See More

Basketball Play - Indiana Hoosiers - Zone Attack (2 plays)

Indiana Hoosiers - Zone Attack (2 plays)

null null 11/11/2018

Overloading against a zone can be overwhelming for the defense. Indiana coach Archie Miller uses these two overload actions to create a 1 on 1 matchup with his bigs vs the middle of the zone. 1: In the first video clip, the wing defender is confused on who to cover and leaves the corner wide open. 2: In the last clip, the wing tries to split the wing and corner offensive player, leaving a 1 on 1 in the post, which is exactly what the Hoosiers are looking for. Basketball Play - Gonzaga Bulldogs - Mix Pitch Dive Keep

Gonzaga Bulldogs - Mix Pitch Dive Keep

Dave Nedbalek 11/09/2018

This is a great set from Gonzaga Coach Mark Few. It appears that 5 is sprinting into a ball screen, but actualy will recieve the pass and look to hit the guard cutting backdoor. If 5 is overplayed, this is a great backdoor opportunity for him as well. If the backdoor cut is not there, then everyone holds and 5 has a double gap to drive his man from the top of the key. Basketball Play - Virginia Cavaliers - EOG Philly Pin

Virginia Cavaliers - EOG Philly Pin

Dave Nedbalek 11/09/2018

This is a great set with many scoring options off of it. The flat ball screen isolates your best player driving to score. You also get the Philly cut where you can get the ball to another driver on the move, then you have the pin screen for the shooter cutting baseline, and lastly you have the initial screener popping to shoot. Simple concept but great addition to your end of game playbook. On the FMS Blog: NCAA Preseason Top 25 XsOs - Teams 1-5 See More
