Basketball Play - Gonzaga Bulldogs - Floppy Circle Hit

Gonzaga Bulldogs - Floppy Circle Hit

Dave Nedbalek 11/27/2018

This is an incredibly hard set to guard. Great action leading to an empty middle ball screen and if 1's defender is tagging the pick and roll like he should be, 1 will either be open on the throwback or 5 will be wide open at the rim. See the video below. Highly recommend watching Coach Few's teams play with scratch paper handy or FastDraw open! FMS Blog: Maui Invitational - Top 10 Plays See More

Basketball Play - Gonzaga Bulldogs - "Miami" X

Gonzaga Bulldogs - "Miami" X

Dave Nedbalek 11/27/2018

This is one of my all time favorite sets! There are several looks that Gonzaga bypasses in favor of the post up. This set when run fully has a guard mismatch post up opportunity, lob look, stretch post 3, double pin downs for shooters, seal post ups for those screeners, and then ball screen with throwback action. See these options in the video below. I highly recommend adding this set to your playbook. Check out my PlayBank library for a more thorough breakdown of this set run by Jim Larranaga at Miami University. FMS Blog: Maui Invitational - Top 10 Plays See More

Basketball Play - San Diego State Aztecs - Over Curl Chase

San Diego State Aztecs - Over Curl Chase

Dave Nedbalek 11/27/2018

This is a great set utilizing components of Coach Beilein's two-guard offense. The down screen from 1 to 2 has multiple options: 2 could reject the screen, use and send 1 backdoor, or the way it's run here with 2 tight curling and 1 popping back out. Check out the video below. Side note: a great counter would be after 1 popping out, to then go hard backdoor on the heels of 2's cut. FMS Blog: Maui Invitational - Top 10 Plays See More

Auburn Tigers - Wave 4

Dave Nedbalek 11/27/2018

This a very simple, yet effective set to use early in transition to counter over aggressive defense. Take a look at the video below to see how the Tigers set this up. Beaches & Basketball! Basketball Play - Zone Quick Hitter - Dribble Push

Zone Quick Hitter - Dribble Push

Michael Lynch 11/13/2018

Here is a way to incorporate a dribble drive attack into your zone offense. Using a wing dribble entry, we shift the defense to the ball side, then set a backside ball screen to create a 2/1 on the backside. Basketball Play - Memphis Grizzlies - Shuffle Flare Rip DHO

Memphis Grizzlies - Shuffle Flare Rip DHO

Ryan Nguyen 11/13/2018

This is one of the options that the Memphis Grizzlies run out of their "Shuffle" series. The play starts with the PG making the hit-ahead pass then cuts through to the opposite side of the floor. 5 then flashes to the strong side elbow to set a shuffle screen after the pass to the corner. If the initial cut off the shuffle screen isn't available for a score, 4 sets a flare for 2 on the weak side then 3 sets a rip screen for 4 (STS action). Immediately after the rip screen, 3 sprints into a DHO with 5 and stops behind for a shot if defense goes under. On the FMS Blog: Gap Creating Cuts to Enhance Your Offense See More
