Favorite Send to FastDrawKansas ran this variation of horns against Arizona State to get a lob. KU first ran Horns Flare keeping 2 in the corner. This is the counter to that where the Jayhawks run 2 to the opposite corner and have 5 curl the flare to the basket. Click here for more Kansas Jayhawks sets! See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is one of my all time favorite sets! There are several looks that Gonzaga bypasses in favor of the post up. This set when run fully has a guard mismatch post up opportunity, lob look, stretch post 3, double pin downs for shooters, seal post ups for those screeners, and then ball screen with throwback action. See these options in the video below. I highly recommend adding this set to your playbook. Check out my PlayBank library for a more thorough breakdown of this set run by Jim Larranaga at Miami University. FMS Blog: Maui Invitational - Top 10 Plays See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is a great clear out set if you have an athletic big/wing that can go catch this pass. A big key to this is 3 staying opposite lane line to maintain an angle on the pass. Hit play on the video below to see the action. FMS Blog: Maui Invitational - Top 10 Plays See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is a great set from Gonzaga Coach Mark Few. It appears that 5 is sprinting into a ball screen, but actualy will recieve the pass and look to hit the guard cutting backdoor. If 5 is overplayed, this is a great backdoor opportunity for him as well. If the backdoor cut is not there, then everyone holds and 5 has a double gap to drive his man from the top of the key. Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is a great set that we have seen many NBA teams run, namely the Cleveland Cavaliers utilizing LeBron James as the screner. T he proximity to the rim and the pace with which Kansas runs it makes it even tougher for the defenders to talk their way through defending this action. I love that the Jayhawk bigs casually jog down before popping back up the lane lines quickly to start the defense out of step. On the FMS Blog: NCAA Preseason Top 25 XsOs - Teams 1-5 See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is a great set with several back screens that require great defensive communication and cohesion or one of the lobs, or subsquent ball sreens will be wide open. Not ideal spacing but a unique set that is not cookie cutter defensively by any means. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is a unique formation that puts the defense in a lot of positions to do wrong. The offset box makes for a long tag for the defender at the rim which should mean either a layup, corner 3, or slip to the rim will be open. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is not a very dynamic set but it is a very effective one. If you have a great shooter make him your inbounder and if the defense jumps to take away the corner three the fake handoff counter will be available. Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is a really great set especially if you have your best shooter inbounding it. The final ball screen will either force the inbounders man to tag the roller or leave the inbounder wide open for 3 on the shake action. Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is a great set that puts a lot of pressure on the defending 5 to cover actions correctly and sequentionally. More on the FMS blog: NCAA Preseason Top 25 XsOs Click to view all plays by Coach Dave Nedbalek! See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis set isnt run smoothly in the clip attached but again, you can see the action setup. The backdoor cut to finish the set isnt run very intentionally here but I think is a great counter with all of the fixation on the shooter coming off of the stagger and the help being occupied with that. Favorite Send to FastDrawGreat inbound set to add to your playbook to get an empty side high low entry out of a box setup. Again this is defended well in the clip but you can see the framework for the action. More on the FMS blog: NCAA Preseason Top 25 XsOs Click to view all plays by Coach Dave Nedbalek! See More
