Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is an after time out (ATO) play primarily used by Head Coach Nick Nurse and the Toronto Raptors to get Kyle Lowry a pull-up 3-pointer. By keeping the defense honest with the occassional solid cross screen and flex cut, Lowry's defender is forced to trail him as he approaches the "uphill" DHO to make this an effective set play. Favorite Send to FastDrawAnother staple of Tennessee's offense is the combination of down screens followed by flex screens on the weak side. Once again, with Grant Williams and Admiral Schofield as screeners, it makes it extremley difficult for defenders to get through. A key to this specific action is 3 must set up his defender by getting below the level of the screen and then sprinting off of the screener shoulder to shoulder. How does tennessee make these simple actions so effective? Simple, physical screens and physical cuts! Click for more NCAA Top 25 XsOs! See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawA creative flex action used by Iowa head coach Fran McCaffrey. This play starts in a low double stack. This action is difficult to guard because x1 will tend to relax once he gets through the false back screen. As 1 comes off the back screen, he is immeditatley setting a flex screen for 2. This limits the time that x1 has to see the action develop. More: Shooting Drills that Enhance Your Flex Offense See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawThis continuous 3v3 drill teaches the defense to defend the flex action using different roles with different communication responsibilities. The drill will will be repeated three times so each defensive player has an opportunity to practice each part. 3 calls the screen and provides help. 2 goes over the cross screen on the baseline and communicates when matched back up. 1 communicates the down screen and opens up to allow 3 to get through the screen. 3 informs 1 when he is through the screen and matched up.
