Favorite Send to FastDrawMotion offense from Germany at EuroBasket 2017. 1 dribbles at 5 for a pitch and 5 dribbles at 2 for a handoff. 3 sets a back screen for 5 then receives a down screen from 5. 3 (Staiger/Barthel) comes off the down screen looking for a shot. If 3 isn't open, offense flows into a flare screen and down screen on the left and right side of the floor respectively. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawSlovenia ran this action at EuroBasket 2017 designed to get Goran Dragic a shot or drive to the basket. 2 clears to the left side to create space for 1 to attack coming off of the flare screen. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawCreative horns set from George Washington that includes a DHO into the spread pick and roll. If 5 were to receive the entry pass in the horns set, 5 would roll after handing the ball off to 1 and 4 would then set the middle ball screen and pop out. Ball can be entered to either the 4 or the 5. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawUCLA Offense from South Korea that they've been running at FIBA Asia Cup Women 2017. When 4 is denied/overplayed for a catch from 3 after 1 makes a UCLA cut to initiate "UCLA Weak Flare," 4 cuts backdoor looking for a layup. 3 passes the ball to 1 and receives a flare screen from 5. 1 passes to 5 and follows her pass (chase action) and drives to the basket on the handoff. Favorite Send to FastDrawDribble handoffs are an important concept in many offenses. Here are two 1 on 1 drills to help players work on the hand off as well as reads before/after the handoff. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawHorns action from Australia at FIBA Asia Cup Women 2017. If 1 isn't open for a shot off of the down-screen from 5, 5 automatically turns and re-screens for 1 for a middle pick-and-roll action. As 5 rolls to the basket, 4 replaces high. 1 has option of passing to 5 rolling or snapback to 4 filling high. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Brooklyn Nets summer league team used this play against the LA Lakers to get a look for 1 cutting to the basket for a layup or 4 popping to the corner for a shot. The shuffle cut from 1 off the screen from 4 forced x4 to help or they would give up a layup. This got 4 open for the shot along the baseline. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawJapan has been running this "Delay" action at FIBA Asia Cup Women 2017. 1 passes to 5 and screens down for 2. 1 fakes the down-screen and slips to the basket. 5 looks to hit 1 for a layup if she is open. If the pass is not available, 1 clears to the opposite side. 5/2 execute a DHO. As 2 receives the handoff from 5, 4 & 3 set a weak-side stagger screen for 1. 1 comes off the stagger screen looking for a shot. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawHere is an excellent sideline out of bounds I've seen coach Sherri Coale run over the years. I've added a few of my own wrinkles to it but its a great play with multiple options. Initial set up is a your best shooter at the FT line and best finishing guard around the slot area. Both post players are positioned on the blocks. 3 player times cut and waits for 5 to flash for basketball similar to the blind pig action in the flex offense. The point guard passes to the post player flashing to the elbow and the post immediately looks to hit the 3 man on a backdoor (vs. aggressive defense). If the backdoor is not available, the point guard receives a dribble handoff (DHO) from the post player. After receiving the DHO, the point guard stretches the play out while the 4 man flashes to the block for a potential post pass. The 5 man will then receive a back screen from the shooter for a potential lob pass. 2 shapes up after backscreen and looks for a shot or immediately looks to dribble over and post the mismatch. If the guard cannot get the ball to the post player due to being fronted, then the weakside big flashes to catch and immediately throw a high-low pass into the post. See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is a counter out of the Boston Celtics "Swing" series that they've been running at the 2017 NBA Summer League. 3 is overplayed on the wing and denied a pass, so he back-cuts to the basket. 3 sets a cross screen for 4 then immediately receives a down-screen from 5. 3 comes off of the down-screen looking for a pass from 2 for a shot at the top of the key or drive to the basket. Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is a counter out of the Boston Celtics "Swing" series that they've been running at the 2017 NBA Summer League. Rather than 2 passing to 4 and receiving a back-screen from 5 for a shuffle screen, 2 dribbles at 4 and 4 back-cuts to the basket for a post-up. After 4 receives the ball on the block, 5 sets a back-screen for 2. 2 cuts to the basket looking for a drop pass from 4 for a layup. See More
