Favorite Send to FastDrawThursday evening on ESPN the Chicago Bulls ran this common NBA set. Versus a smart defensive team like the Spurs, you have to start pick & roll actions by freeing up the ball handlers with screening actions. By have 5 (Boozer) come off a Hawk cut to the rim, the Spurs were forced to respect him in the post and him give a second of help to prevent a post lay-up. This was just enough time to free up the 2 for a catch and then pick & pop with 4. See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Boston Celtics ran this play Wednesday versus the Brooklyn Nets. The Cetlics, who are facing a limited line-up with injuries have become ever more creative to utilize their healthy bodies as best as they can. This is an excellent action having a guard on guard/forward pick. It really makes the sense collapse to open up the pass out to 4. See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawOn Wednesday I posted a zipper action the Pacers have been running all year long and throughout the Playoffs. Last night in Game 5 of the ECF versus the Miami Heat, the added this wrinkle to put George Hill into a side pick & roll. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThere is no better way to end the week than with one last zipper action from the Indiana Pacers. They ran this play versus the Miami Heat in Game 5 of the ECF. The Pacers have had much success in pick & roll situations finding Hibbert on the role for points in the paint. This is an excellent way to set up a pick & roll for Hibbert. By placing a shooter (3) in the corner it makes helping on the roll of 5 harder because if the defense sags in a talented point guard will throw back to 3 for a shot. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawDuring Game 1 of the 2013 NBA Finals, the Miami Heat ran this play versus the San Antonio Spurs after a timeout in the 2nd quarter. Placing 3 capable scorers (Wade, Cole, Battier) into a screen the screener pick & roll action is very hard to guard because the defense did not want to over-help and give up an easy look. See More
