Favorite Send to FastDrawRichard Jefferson and Jason Collins connected on a fantastic alley oop in a 2004 game to beat the Cleveland Cavaliers. The play, designed to get Richard Jefferson free at the rim, works well because of the amount of attention paid to Jason Kidd as their star player. His ability to serve as a decoy away from the basket was instrumental in freeing up space at the basket and getting Jefferson's man away from him. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is my 3rd set of BLOB plays...this time a Baseline Series. We like to go with 1 specific set up unique to each season and to disguise a handful of sets in the same set up. So far I have shared a "Shapes" Series and a "Letter's" Series. Hopefully these with small adaptations to your personnel and use vs. Man or Zone can help win the "Special Situations" portion of each game for you. See More
Favorite Send to FastDraw"Sweep" is a secondary break play run by several teams including Colorado and Harvard. This play is based on the North Carolina approach to secondary break offense made popular by Dean Smith and Roy Williams. It can be run if you do not have players athletic enough to run the Carolina break for the lob dunk and can be run into any kind of a three-around-two offense. Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is a tricky play to defend--especially when teams are fighting over screens--because of the back-to-back stagger screens. If your 5 can shoot it, you may also look to him shaping up after 1 cuts off his screen, since his man may be sagging to help with the cutter. See More
Favorite Send to FastDraw1 looks to go left on the dribble. 4 comes up to set the ball screen but back cuts to the rim. 5 circles up and sets the ball screen. 1 immediately turns back to the right and uses 5 for the ball screen. Quick lob for 4 at the rim. If not there, swing to 5 and look to go hi-low. See More

Favorite Send to FastDrawGood set, with a lot of movements. it's a great opportunity for open shot your SG with options for lob pass 4 after back screen. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis zone offense play from Wichita State was run versus Louisville in the 2013 Final Four. This play from Gregg Marshall is one of my favorite zone offense actions of all time; mostly because Billy Donovan runs it frequently, and very well. Setting the pick & roll on the top of the zone forces X2 to help or switch onto the ball. On the pass from 2 to 1, X2 is caught trying to recover so X4 starts sliding up to stunt. Making for a perfect opportunity for 5 to duck in hard on the zone for a post-up. For every play Wichita State ran during the 2013 Final Four check out my eBook, “Championship Execution”. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is a play that Jim Boeheim frequented during the 2013 Final Four. I love this set because of the continuous screening actions after the initial stagger pick & roll. The first two options of the play are for 1 to come off and attack the rim and if he can't throwback to 4 for a catch & shoot. If neither of those options are open 2 comes off the second set of staggers for a multiple of options. For every play Syracuse ran during the 2013 Final Four check out my eBook, "Championship Execution". See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis drill can be done as a pre-practice drill or as a pre-game warm-up. You will need at least seven players to execute the drill properly. For more, check out my website www.coachpeelbasketball.com, sign up for a membership and get your first 30 days free. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawPG enters to 4 at the elbow and weakside pins down for 3. 3 curls the screen and empties to the corner. 5 pins down for PG to wing, high and tight. 4 hits PG. 2 pins down for 3. As PG catches 5 turns back into a step up ballscreen. PG attacks the ballscreen. 5 rolls hard to the rim. 4 fills behind for a shot but if the shot is not there he can also look high low to 5. Favorite Send to FastDrawMichigan's John Beilein ran this play versus Syracuse in the 2013 Final Four in Atlanta. This action consists of tons of movement forcing the defense to communicate and scramble around. As the defense scrambles to match-up to cutters, it is a great opportunity to set a pick & roll on the zone. To see every play Michigan ran during the 2013 Final Four check out my ebook, Championship Execution. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawGood drill to get your players into a defensive stance and in a proper position from different spots on the floor. Can use in individual workouts, pre-practice and pre-game warmups. Can make the drill competitive by using players in the position of the coach. Also, have teams compete against each other while still working on the fundamentals. See More
