Favorite Send to FastDrawThis set leads into the Power continuity offense. Bigs pin down for 2-3 on block to free them on wings. Ball passed to 3, 1 down screens for 4. Pass reversed from 3-4 then 4-2, as 4 down screens for 5. Action continues until a good shot presents itself. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is one of my favorite sets from the 13-14 season, and is a staple of the Trailblazers' offense. Very similar to Rick Carlisle's "Get" series from the championship Mavericks team, this set creates multiple scoring looks for each of the Blazers' offensive weapons, and can be modified to highlight any player within the offense. Below are 3 options within the set: Thumb Up, Thumb Fist, and Thumb Punch. Thumb Up creates catch & shoot opportunities for Matthews and Batum, Thumb Fist puts Aldridge and Lillard in a pick and pop situation, and Thumb Punch creates a post scoring opportunity for Aldridge. Favorite Send to FastDrawHorns formation. Dragic (1) hits Morris (4) at the elbow and cuts opposite. While Dragic (1) and Plumlee (5) set the stagger away, Morris (4) engages in a dribble handoff with Green (3). As Green (3) rises on the wing with the ball, Bledsoe (2) comes off the stagger and gets the pass. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis is a great misdirection play that San Antonio has been running for years, and perfect for a great lefty passer like Manu Ginobili. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawCleveland Cavaliers coach David Blatt should bring lots of exciting twists to the sometimes bland NBA offense landscape. Here is a play called "Circle" See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThanks to Ben Asher (@Ben_Asher) for the heads up on this fantastic BLOB LOB run by Dayton at the Puerto Rico Tip-Off. Have any great sets you want to share? Tweet them to us @FastModel See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawBrad Stevens play for a shooter, usually Jeff Green. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawDwane Casey ran this action last year as a single-double for Terrence Ross. Ross was one of the team's go-to scorers when DeRozan was on the bench, and this play utilized his three-point threat. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Triangle Offense depends a lot on the low post. When the low post is not open, here is a great option to get your best scorer open off a staggered screen for a jump shot or curl. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawDave Joerger used this play to utilize Tayshaun Prince well. Prince is a good ball-handler for a forward but lacks an outside shot; using him in the pinch post helped him find production on the court. The Grizzlies would run the play on this side of the floor almost exclusively so that Prince could dribble towards the dribble with his strong hand (his left hand). See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawDragic (1) dribbles towards Bledsoe (2), pushing him backdoor behind Frye (5). Morris (4) pops out from the elbow to the wing. Bledsoe (2) fills corner, pushing Green (3) up on the wing. Middle Pick-and-Pop with Dragic (1) and Frye (5). The rim should be unprotected or a shooter will be open on the perimeter See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis Rhody option is one to run as a quick hitter in a Need 3 situation. Once again it is essential that 2 cuts shoulder to shoulder off the screens from 5 and 4 to encourage X5 and X4 to become occupied with the cut that they do not see the elevator action coming. Furthermore, if X5 sniffs out the play and tries to deny the pass to 3, slip 5 to the rim for a lay-up (If you don't need a 3 pointer). See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Golden State Warriors ran this SLOB with 11 seconds to play (down by 4 points) in Game 7 of the first playoff round against the Clippers. A triple decoy play, which forces numerous switches. In this case the whole defense focused on Curry. He decided to take a 3 point runner, but could have passed the ball to Thompson for a wide open 3 point shot. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Nets ran this with under 10 seconds left to go in their game 3 loss to the Bulls. Johnson 2 was wide open, but held off on shooting the three to give the ball to Williams who came off a down screen and penetrated. Chicago did not want to foul, so the Nets were able to get the basket, score, foul, and come down and attempt a game tying 3 pointer. See More
