In this diagram and embedded video we look at a set play series out of a horns alignment. The dribble push enters the set. The first two options are slipping the gate screen, and turning the corner on the dribble push for a clear out. The next option is using the gate screen, which goes into a pin or flare option, similar to a blocker/mover action. Video below. In this diagram and video clip we see a SLOB to look to steal a basket with a slip set. Having the most lethal scoring option coming off the gate screen increases the chances the defense will overreact to it. I don't think it matters which of the two screeners slip, as long as both don't slip. They want to be watching their defenders, and if either one gets above the level of the screen, slip into the open space.
