Favorite Send to FastDrawThis misdirection play is used to get the ball to 5 posting up inside. The ball screen at the top of the key could also be a great pick and pop opportunity. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis two-man action has the five man set repeat step up ball screens for the point guard. The repeat action can allow the players to get a feel for how the defense is going to guard the ball screen. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThis quick hitter gets an open shot on the wing, but the guard coming off of the "Orlando" action could also look to score off of the ball screen. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawCrean uses a variety of down screen / cross screen actions to make the defense move. This play also uses up quite a bit of time. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Hoosiers use a "twist" action with two ball screens set for the point guard. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawGood spacing and movement before a screening action are essential in post isolation opportunities. On this set, Nikola Vucevic comes off two cross screens to get him open for a post isolation opportunity. Nice action drawn up by old Magic coach Jacque Vaughn. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawBrad Stevens uses Isaiah Thomas as a screener frequently because of the extra attention the Celtics' top scorer receives. A common screen-the-screener action is the Flex set up, where Thomas would come off a down screen after setting the Flex. Instead, he sets a back screen here after the flex, with the rim unguarded on the flex overload for an easy alley oop opportunity. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawFlex is a very common action in all levels, high school to NBA. At the highest levels, if a team wants optimal posting position off a flex screen, they must disguise that a flex screen is coming by running false movement early in the set. Jeff Hornacek did this with the Suns, mixing it in with his pitch offense. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawWith a player like Andrew Wiggins that can score inside and out, Wolves coach Sam Mitchell got creative last season with how he used Wiggins in flex situations. 23 Flex Clear is an action that can utilize Wiggins as a screener or as the post-up option in the wing. He either comes off a flex screen into a post isolation situation, or he can set a flex screen for another wing and then come off a down screen on the opposite side for a jump shot. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawFlex counter that is common in the NBA, with a staggered screen for the man that came off the flex screen -- great read if the man coming off the flex is fronted in the post. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe Flex Offense is a patterned offense run at all levels of basketball. The offense is initiated with a ball reversal, a "flex cut" and screen the screener action. There are unlimited options out of this offense for quick hitters and counters. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawGood baseline out of bounds play to use against a 2-3 zone. Forces the zone to match up with your players. See More
Favorite Send to FastDrawThe 2 pops to the weakside wing. The 1 sets a back pick for the 5 and gets a screen from the 4 in a pick the picker action to get him the ball on the strong side wing. Immediately on the catch the 1 drives baseline. The 5 sets the hammer screen to bring the 2 to the corner. The 2 can also cut on the inside if his defender jumps to the outside to take the corner away. The 4 can set a screen for the 3 as well. See More
