Teams use the triangle & two defense to shut down the offensive efficiency of two star players. The following play is designed to put one of the defending players in a disadvantage. Either a corner shot or a pass inside will be open.
FRAME 1:
- 3 ATTACKS THE LEFT ELBOW AND DRAWS X3 ATTENTION
- AT THE SAME TIME 2 CUTS THROUGH THE ZONE TO SET A SCREEN ON X5
- 3 PASSES TO 4
- X4 IS FORCED TO GUARD THE BALL
- 4 CAN PASS THE BALL INSIDE TO 5
