About This Play/Drill

  • Basketball Play - Wizard

Frame 1
#1 - Make the entry pass to either #4 or #5 and cut off of the back screen set by the opposite post (#5 in the diagram).

#2 - Set up in the right corner.

#3 - Set up in the left corner.

#4 - If you receive the entry pass from #1, look to pass to #1 coming off of #5's back screen. Otherwise, set the back screen for #1.

#5 - If you receive the entry pass from #1, look to pass to #1 coming off of #4's back screen. Otherwise, set the back screen for #1.


Frame 2
#1 - Continue your cut to the ball-side corner.

#2 - Come high to the wing and be ready for a pass out of the high post.

#3 - Come off of #5's down screen and read the way the defense is playing the down screen.

#4 - Look to pass to #3 off of the down screen, #5 on the slip, or back out to #2.

#5 - Set the down screen for #3 and be ready to slip in the opposite direction of #3's cut on any switch.
