About This Play/Drill

The Miami Heat loved to enter their offense with a dribble handoff into an iverson cut.  This set ends with the 2 who set a screen in the iverson cut, cracking back to set a ball screen for #6 Lebron James to an open side of the floor.  Using the screen to get deep then the 4 who set the last screen in the iverson cut comes and sets a ball screen at a really deep angle.  Tough to defend.

  • 1 takes the ball to the wing, where 3 creates seperation from his man and comes to get a dribble handoff.

  • After his dribble handoff 1 quickly changes directions and runs an iverson cut off 2 and 4. 3 dribbles to the top of the key looking at 1.

  • After 1's iverson cut 2 cracks back and sets a ball screen for 3 going toward the cleared out side. After setting the ball screen 2 sprints to the opposite wing while setting a brush screen on 4's man, pushing 1 up.

  • With all of the action creating a cleared out side and a deep screening angle 4 sprints over and sets a ball screen for 3. 3 gets into the paint and can score it, hit the rolling/sliding 4 man, or kick to perimeter players.
