About This Play/Drill

The Iowa Hawkeyes ran this set early in the 2nd Half against a 2-3 zone vs. Indiana State on 3/20/13 in the NIT 1st Round.

1 passes to 3 on the right wing.
3 passes back to 1.
On the pass from 3 to 1, 2 cuts through behind the zone.

First, 5 screens the zone defender near the left block (X3). Next (simultaneously) 4 screens the middle zone defender (X5). 2 screens the defender on the dunker's side (X4).

1st Option: 1 takes a couple dribbles, the makes a lob pass to 3 for the dunk/lay-up.
